Rich Billings
Rich Billings
Development Chair
Rich recently retired from a 38-year career in banking that began immediately upon graduating from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL. He was born in Orlando, FL and moved to Leesburg, FL in 1993. An opportunity to join a small community bank executive leadership team took him and his family to Charleston, SC in 2007, returning to Leesburg in 2017 to soon thereafter retire.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes is an organization that Rich has long been involved with and the chance to join the FCA Lake-Sumter Leadership board in 2017 allowed him to continue that engagement, where he currently serves as the Board Development Chair. Having grown up very involved in athletics, he appreciates the opportunity to provide impactful spiritual leadership and guidance to student-athletes of all ages.
Additional spare time has recently been consumed as an Assistant Baseball Coach for Lake Sumter State College, serving alongside his son, Head Coach Rich Billings, Jr. Having watched the younger Coach Billings pursue his baseball playing days through college while further observing his admired passion to teach and lead others as a coach, the fortunate chance to work alongside him in the dugout every day is extraordinarily special and gratifying.
Rich also serves on the Board and as Treasurer of the Education Foundation of Lake County and is a member of the Investment Committee for the Lake Sumter State College Foundation. He makes his church home at The Cross in Mt. Dora, FL.
Rich has been married to his wife Vicki since 1981 and in addition to his son Rich, they have two admired daughters, Emily (Tallahassee, FL) and Amy (Tulsa, OK) plus four well-loved grandchildren…Parker, Halle, Sophia and Brantleigh.
